Senior Program Manager I
The Senior Program Manager I at Rocket Lab's Silver Spring, Maryland facility will oversee project execution, interface with customers, define internal programmatic processes, and lead decision-making strategies. Key responsibilities include defining program requirements based on customer proposals, analyzing cost and schedule data to improve processes, identifying and mitigating technical and programmatic risks, and maintaining relationships with customers to build long-term partnerships. The role also involves facilitating cross-functional planning and project execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and consistent with business strategy and expectations.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of program management experience in a production or product-development environment within aerospace or a similar industry. A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in a relevant engineering field or in business is required. Experience managing project or program management activities for new product introduction (NPI) and demonstrated competence in problem-solving, data analysis, and project planning are essential. Compliance with federally mandated requirements under U.S. export-control laws is also necessary.
The base salary for this position ranges from $107,000 to $135,000 annually.
