Senior Program Manager II, RF Systems - TS/SCI
Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Senior Program Manager II for RF Systems to lead the development of next-generation RF systems and payloads. This role is based at the company's global headquarters in Long Beach, California, and involves overseeing projects from initial concept through flight qualification and into high-rate production. The position requires a mission-first mindset, focusing on translating complex operational requirements into actionable technical milestones.
The Senior Program Manager II will be responsible for driving the technical roadmap for advanced payloads, translating customer needs into engineering sprints, and synchronizing cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and spectrum management. Additional duties include partnering with Chief Engineers to navigate trade-offs in phased arrays and digital signal processing, managing strategic partnerships with subcontractors and vendors, and collaborating with business development and strategy teams on proposals and technical narratives.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, along with at least eight years of experience managing technical projects in the aerospace or defense industries. A proven track record of leading teams to complete program milestones and transitioning integrated hardware and software products from prototypes to scalable, flight-ready production is essential. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 annually, along with company equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
