Senior Propulsion Integration Engineer, Air Vehicles
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Propulsion Integration Engineer to join their Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering and Integration Team. This team is responsible for designing and integrating advanced hardware for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms, ensuring high-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems suitable for complex, contested environments.
In this role, the engineer will be a critical member of the team responsible for selecting and integrating aircraft engines, engine components, and fuel systems on unmanned air vehicles. Responsibilities include designing, fabricating, and testing prototype components and control systems, planning and executing tests of aircraft propulsion systems, coordinating with engine vendors to develop strategic partnerships, and managing development projects. The role also involves supporting critical hardware demonstrations with customers and contributing to CAD design for internal aerodynamic loft, surfaces, and structures. Travel to test sites as needed is expected.
Candidates must have at least 8 years of propulsion engineering experience on air vehicles, either manned or unmanned, with professional experience working with jet engines in the 1,000-20,000 lbf thrust class. A strong knowledge of jet engine fundamentals, experience using engine cycle decks, and exposure to testing engines or powertrain components are required. Proficiency in designing mechanical parts and surface loft using CAD, along with an understanding of various manufacturing methods such as machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, and injection molding, is essential. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering is required, and candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $146,000 to $194,000 annually, with actual offers varying based on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills.
