Senior Reliability Engineer, Missiles
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join their Advanced Effects product line team in Costa Mesa, California. This role focuses on ensuring that missile systems meet or exceed mission performance requirements, withstand challenging environmental conditions, and satisfy all customer specifications. The Reliability Engineering team collaborates closely with Systems, Hardware, and Software Engineering teams to develop and implement cutting-edge reliability processes and methodologies.
The Senior Reliability Engineer will be responsible for leading Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) efforts, performing predictive reliability analyses, and developing qualification test plans. Additional duties include creating maintainability prediction models, conducting Weibull analyses, and collaborating with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure inspection and acceptance test gates are in place. The role also involves using data analysis techniques to identify key problem areas in deployed products and driving root cause analysis and corrective action implementations to closure.
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience as a Reliability Engineer, Design/Development Engineer, or Test Engineer, along with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience with safety-critical hardware and software systems in the defense or aerospace industry is required, with a preference for experience with unmanned aerial vehicles or weapon systems. Familiarity with military standards such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-217, and MIL-STD-461 is also necessary.
The salary range for this position is $166,000 to $220,000 per year.
