Senior Research Scientist
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join our dynamic team dedicated to transforming defense technology. As a key member of our research division, you will contribute to developing advanced algorithms and software solutions that address complex information science challenges. Our mission is to rapidly deliver cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technologies to enhance U.S. and allied military capabilities.
In this role, you will lead a small, talented team, providing direction and expertise to drive innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include creating mathematically principled approaches to solve challenging problems, prototyping state-of-the-art algorithms in an agile environment, and implementing high-performance software across various applications. Additionally, you will utilize high-fidelity modeling and simulation tools to assess and quantify the benefits of our technologies, ensuring they meet mission-critical needs.
The ideal candidate will possess an M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied or Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics and Probability, or a related field. A strong academic record with demonstrated experience in applied mathematics, engineering, scientific computing, and probability is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, C++, and Python is required. Effective written and verbal communication skills are crucial, as is the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
We offer a competitive salary range of $165,000 to $218,000 USD, along with highly competitive equity grants.
