Senior Sales Account Executive
Square is seeking a seasoned Senior Sales Account Executive to join our Outbound Sales Team, focusing on the restaurant sector, particularly small to mid-sized businesses. This role involves developing and executing outbound sales strategies to introduce Square's comprehensive ecosystem to prospective merchants. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in new logo sales and demonstrate a proactive, self-starting approach.
Key responsibilities include understanding the unique business and technological needs of restaurant merchants to deliver tailored, consultative sales solutions. The role requires conducting prospecting activities, discovery calls, and product demonstrations, as well as developing solutions that integrate both first and third-party offerings to meet client requirements. Building strong relationships through field engagements to enhance win rates is also essential. The executive will oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring successful onboarding in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Achieving and surpassing monthly sales goals and key performance indicators through proactive outbound efforts is a critical aspect of this position.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in a full-cycle closing sales role, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals across a diverse product ecosystem. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. The ability to independently drive deals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is crucial. Experience in business development, particularly in sourcing and acquiring new logos, is highly valued. A collaborative team player mentality and prior experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools are also important qualifications.
