Senior Scientist
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Scientist to join its Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) division, which focuses on developing autonomous drones and solid rocket motors. The TRS team transforms products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius from early concepts into fully operational capabilities by collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and production teams. Through the Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team, Anduril designs and manufactures solid rocket motors using advanced materials and proprietary formulations to support a wide range of mission requirements.
In this role, the Senior Scientist will conduct experimental research under the guidance of a senior principal scientist, collaborating with a multi-specialized team to develop Anduril’s proprietary metal-powder fuel formulation. Responsibilities include analyzing data, planning experiments, making technical presentations, and supporting multi-threaded project management. The position requires a detail-oriented individual passionate about translating laboratory developments into next-generation, real-world capabilities.
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in chemical, materials science, or metallurgical engineering, chemistry, or related fields. Experience with air-sensitive chemistries, materials, and techniques is essential, along with a fundamental knowledge of material and chemical sciences. Applicants should have experience in team-oriented project execution and be eligible to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
The salary range for this position is $111,000 to $147,000 annually.
