Senior Scientist/Principal Scientist, Quantitative Pharmacology (Contractor)
Legend Biotech is seeking a highly motivated and experienced quantitative pharmacologist to join their Research & Early Development team in Somerset, New Jersey. This contractor role focuses on leading modeling and simulation efforts to support gene and cell therapy products, emphasizing quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) and population pharmacokinetics (popPK) modeling. The position offers a 12-month contract duration.
The successful candidate will lead QSP and popPK modeling activities across preclinical and clinical development stages. Responsibilities include developing mechanistic models to understand disease pathways, conducting simulations for dose selection and trial design, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Additionally, the role involves authoring clinical pharmacology sections of regulatory documents and contributing to scientific publications.
Applicants should possess an MS, PhD, or PharmD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. A minimum of 7 years of experience with an MS degree or 3 years with a PhD/PharmD in quantitative pharmacology or pharmacometrics within pharmaceutical or CRO companies is required. Proficiency in QSP and popPK modeling tools such as NONMEM, R, MATLAB, or Monolix is essential, along with a deep understanding of PK/PD principles and regulatory guidelines.
