Senior Security Engineer, Manufacturing
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Security Engineering team, focusing on building world-class defensive controls to protect the infrastructure surrounding their advanced defense technology products. This role is pivotal in securing Anduril's Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments, playing a critical role in the rollout of cutting-edge factory systems.
The Senior Security Engineer will lead OT risk assessments, conduct gap analyses, and develop a multi-year OT security roadmap. Responsibilities include architecting and implementing defensive security controls across cloud, production, and corporate environments, supporting the deployment and maintenance of security tools, and building systems to enhance automation, visibility, and threat detection. The role also involves driving security initiatives independently and collaborating closely with factory production teams to ensure secure design practices.
Candidates must have experience with routing, switching, and network design principles, familiarity with zero trust architecture and segmentation strategies for OT networks, and experience conducting security architecture or design reviews for OT/ICS environments. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Rust is required, along with the ability to develop and implement defensive controls in corporate and industrial production environments. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance is also necessary.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with OT protocols like Modbus, DNP3, or Ethernet/IP, experience with ICS/SCADA vendor platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, or Honeywell, and strong experience with Linux operating systems. The salary range for this position is $166,000 to $220,000 per year, with highly competitive equity grants included in the majority of full-time offers.
