Braze is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer II to join our team in New York City. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our internal-facing services and platforms. As part of the Site Reliability Engineering team, you will collaborate with various engineering teams to maintain and enhance the infrastructure that supports our customer engagement platform, which serves over 3.3 billion monthly active users.

Your primary responsibilities will include partnering with engineering teams to architect products that effectively utilize our infrastructure platforms, debugging reliability and scalability issues across all stack layers, and developing monitoring and alerting systems that focus on symptoms rather than outages. Additionally, you will create infrastructure as code using tools like Chef, Terraform, and Kubernetes, develop deployment pipelines for applications in multiple languages, and provide centralized tooling and automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Software, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer. You should possess strong programming skills, preferably in Ruby and/or Go, and have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code technologies. Familiarity with data technologies such as MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or Postgres is also essential. A proactive attitude, excellent multitasking abilities, and a strong understanding of Linux and Unix shell environments are key to success in this role.

Braze offers a competitive compensation package, with the salary range for this position expected to be between $156,364 and $279,957 per year. In addition to cash compensation, we provide equity grants of restricted stock units (RSUs) to ensure that all employees have a stake in the company's success. Our comprehensive benefits package includes flexible paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and family services such as fertility benefits and equal paid parental leave.

At Braze, we foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that values high standards, teamwork, and work-life harmony. We are committed to continuous learning and encourage our employees to share their diverse passions and perspectives. Joining our team means being part of a dynamic environment where you can make a real impact and grow your career alongside a passionate and supportive team.
