Senior Site Reliability Engineer II
Braze is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer II to join our dynamic team in San Francisco. As a leading customer engagement platform, Braze empowers brands to deliver personalized experiences across multiple channels. The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team plays a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and scalability of our services, ensuring seamless experiences for our clients.
In this role, you will collaborate with various engineering teams to architect products that effectively utilize our infrastructure platforms in a scalable and reliable manner. Your responsibilities will include debugging reliability and scalability issues across all stack layers, developing infrastructure as code using tools like Chef, Terraform, and Kubernetes, and creating deployment pipelines for applications in multiple languages. Additionally, you will be part of an on-call rotation to respond to availability incidents and work proactively to prevent future occurrences.
The ideal candidate has over five years of experience as a Software, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer. You should possess strong programming skills, preferably in Ruby and/or Go, and have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code technologies. Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or Postgres is essential. A proactive attitude, excellent multitasking abilities, and a passion for automating everyday challenges are key attributes we seek.
Braze offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary range between $156,364 and $279,957 per year, and an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $172,000 and $306,000 per year, including bonuses or commissions.
