Senior Site Reliability Engineer (x/f/m)
Doctolib is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Database Optimization team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the reliability, availability, and performance of our production database systems. This role is integral to supporting the exponential growth of Doctolib's services, ensuring seamless experiences for both healthcare professionals and patients.
In this position, you will design, build, and maintain core infrastructure databases capable of supporting hundreds of thousands of concurrent users. Key responsibilities include automating deployment, scaling, and maintenance processes to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency. You will also implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response mechanisms to proactively address potential issues. Additionally, you will provide documentation and tooling to empower feature teams in their database usage and mitigate production database issues during working hours when necessary.
The ideal candidate has over six years of hands-on experience with large-scale production platforms, preferably at scale. Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is essential, along with expertise in datastores like PostgreSQL, Kafka, or Couchbase. A solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, is required. Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go, Java) and a deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles are also necessary. Fluency in English is mandatory.
