Senior Software Engineer (AI, Python)
As a Senior Software Engineer at Diligent Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in developing and scaling machine learning (ML) and large language model (LLM)-based systems that enhance our AI platform services. This position bridges the gap between Applied Scientists and Product teams, ensuring seamless integration of AI capabilities across Diligent's diverse product suite. Diligent is a global leader in modern governance, delivering innovative SaaS solutions that address governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) needs.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting ML and LLM-based systems that power services across our platform. You will build automated AI testing and evaluation frameworks, collaborate with Applied Scientists and Software Engineers to implement and productize AI-based capabilities, and shape the team's AI platform infrastructure utilizing established organizational patterns. Additionally, you will design and develop AI libraries and frameworks to accelerate value delivery across AI platform services and work on projects involving sensitive customer content, requiring stringent privacy and security measures.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of relevant experience, with a strong ability to develop highly readable and well-tested code adhering to SOLID principles. Proven proficiency in Python and TypeScript is essential, along with experience in infrastructure-as-code practices, preferably in AWS or other major cloud providers. The ability to contribute to a high-performing agile team and drive product innovation is crucial. A keen interest in improving processes and sharing knowledge across the team is also highly valued.
