Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Core OS team, focusing on the development and maintenance of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) operating system for automotive platforms. This role involves collaborating closely with hardware, firmware, and cross-functional teams to enhance the Vehicle OS product, a flexible suite designed to help vehicle manufacturers develop, deploy, and update complete vehicle software and AI applications.

In this position, the engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Android HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer), services, libraries, applications, and Linux kernel modules. Key tasks include diagnosing and resolving performance issues, applying strong operating system fundamentals to meet performance and stability requirements, and contributing to the architecture and implementation of vehicle hypervisors and embedded OS components for next-generation automotive platforms.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in Android systems software development on popular SoC platforms such as Qualcomm, NVIDIA, TI, NXP, or Mediatek. Proficiency in programming with C and C++ for ARM or X86 platforms is essential, along with experience in embedded software development on ARM platforms and Linux/Android systems. Strong fundamentals in operating system concepts, including inter-process communication, virtual memory, and concurrency, are required.

Applied Intuition offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $171,000 to $275,000 annually, equity options, and comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage.
