Senior Software Engineer
Archer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our elite team in San Jose, California, dedicated to building out our Airline Operations Software Ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the aerospace industry, contributing to the development of all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed to revolutionize urban air mobility.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for taking product requirements and transforming them into high-quality web and mobile applications. Your duties will include creating and managing backend infrastructure, designing database schemas, developing API architectures, and refining system architecture to ensure scalability, speed, and reliability. Additionally, you will lead end-to-end technical execution, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement novel machine learning algorithms developed by our AI/ML research team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of post-college work or entrepreneurial experience and a four-year degree in an engineering discipline. You should possess evidence of end-to-end product ownership, experience in building both front-end and back-end systems, and a strong understanding of technologies such as Next.js, JavaScript, React, React Native, Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL. A solid grasp of AI implementation in SaaS products and familiarity with serverless and microservice architectures in cloud environments are also essential.

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
