Senior Software Engineer, Backend Core Platform
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Maritime Digital Production team at Anduril Industries, you will develop core services and data pipelines that integrate design, manufacturing, and operations within our digital shipbuilding ecosystem. This role involves creating backend systems that facilitate seamless information flow between tools and teams, establishing a unified, real-time production overview.
Your primary responsibilities include designing and implementing high-performance backend services to support the core platform, ensuring scalability and reliability. You will manage databases to maintain high throughput and efficient data access, develop and maintain APIs for integration with front-end applications and third-party systems, monitor and optimize system performance for minimal latency and maximum efficiency, collaborate with front-end developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions, and write comprehensive documentation to support ongoing development and maintenance of backend services.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go, experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, a strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation, experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), an understanding of software development best practices including version control, testing, and CI/CD, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $191,000 to $253,000, along with highly competitive equity grants.
