CLEAR is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team focused on healthcare solutions. This role involves developing secure and scalable full-stack applications that integrate with enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and national health information exchange frameworks. The engineer will work at the intersection of modern web platforms, healthcare interoperability standards, and high-assurance identity systems to create frictionless, trusted healthcare experiences connecting patients, providers, and partners.

Key responsibilities include designing and delivering full-stack solutions that integrate with EHR systems, building and maintaining healthcare data integrations using FHIR (RESTful APIs/JSON) and HL7 v2 messaging, and developing identity resolution and patient matching capabilities. The engineer will also collaborate with Engineering, Security, Product, and Health Information Management teams to implement compliant, audit-ready workflows for regulated healthcare processes and work with external vendors to troubleshoot integration issues and ensure production reliability.

The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience in software engineering, building scalable web applications and APIs. Proficiency in healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR and HL7 v2, is essential. Experience with national health information exchange frameworks such as TEFCA, QHINs, or Carequality, and practical experience integrating with enterprise EHR systems, preferably Epic, are required. The candidate should also have knowledge of high-assurance identity standards, biometric validation, and document verification workflows, as well as familiarity with regulated healthcare security requirements, including EPCS and audit logging standards.

CLEAR offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a base salary range of $175,500 to $215,000, depending on skills and experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive healthcare plans, family-building benefits, flexible time off, free OneMedical memberships for employees and their dependents, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. The company also invests in employee well-being and learning and development through stipends and reimbursement programs.

Joining CLEAR means becoming part of a mission-driven team dedicated to making experiences safer and easier. With over 38 million members and a growing network of partners worldwide, CLEAR's secure identity platform is transforming the way people live, work, and travel. The company fosters a collaborative and innovative work environment, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.
