As a Senior Software Engineer on the Bolt team at Anduril Industries, you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced autonomous systems for defense applications. Anduril is a defense technology company committed to transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through cutting-edge technology. The Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) division focuses on creating highly capable autonomous drones, including the Bolt platform, by collaborating closely with specialized engineering, operations, and production teams.

In this role, you will own major feature development and rollout for the Bolt platform, such as implementing GPS-denied capabilities, H.265 support, and customer-facing features like simulation tooling and self-service software updates. You will write and maintain core libraries for frame transformations, targeting, and guidance systems utilized across all Anduril robotics platforms. Additionally, you will work closely with hardware and manufacturing teams during product development, providing quick feedback to influence final hardware designs, and contribute to scaling up vehicle bring-up and validation processes from logic boards to flight testing. Participation in occasional flight tests and customer events will ensure end-to-end testing and demonstration of software features alongside new Bolt hardware revisions.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization is essential. Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems, as well as working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems, is required. Proficiency in C++ or Rust within a Linux development environment, with at least three years of experience, is necessary. Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance is also required.

Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $191,000 to $253,000 USD, along with highly competitive equity grants. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision plans at little to no cost, income protection through life and disability insurance, generous time off with a holiday hiatus in December, caregiver and wellness leave, family planning and parenting support, mental health resources, professional development reimbursement, company-funded commuter benefits, and relocation assistance. Retirement savings plans, including traditional 401(k), Roth, and after-tax options, are also available.

Joining Anduril means becoming part of a team that values innovation, quick iteration, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet real-world needs. The company fosters a collaborative environment where engineers are encouraged to tackle ambiguous problems and make critical decisions that directly impact mission success. With a focus on cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology, Anduril is committed to bringing transformative technology to the defense industry in months, not years.
