Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data & Machine Learning Infrastructure group. In this role, you will work across the entire data lifecycle—including collection, ingestion, storage, querying, and retrieval—to design and develop both external and internal products. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with various business units to support our platform's data needs, contributing to the advancement of safe and intelligent machines worldwide.

Your primary responsibilities will include scaling infrastructure to support diverse deployment types (cloud, hybrid, on-premises) across multiple regions. You will build features to optimize processing pipelines for efficient data ingestion and indexing, tailored to customer requirements and workloads. Additionally, you will develop and deploy high-quality software using modern tooling and frameworks, particularly focusing on open-source technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with at least three years of professional experience. Proficiency with large-scale open-source data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Hudi, or Flyte is essential. Experience with containerization and modern software development workflows is also required. A strong understanding of the open-source landscape, with the ability to discern when to utilize existing solutions versus building in-house, is highly valued.

Compensation for this full-time position includes a base salary ranging from $153,000 to $222,000 annually, complemented by equity options and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits encompass health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage, 401(k) retirement plans with employer matching, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Please note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on the jurisdiction of employment.

At Applied Intuition, we foster a dynamic and collaborative work environment where engineers are encouraged to take ownership of technical and product decisions. We value close interaction with both external and internal users to gather feedback and continuously improve our offerings. Joining our team offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in the field of physical AI, working alongside a group of dedicated professionals committed to innovation and excellence.
