Senior Software Engineer I, Full-stack
Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to join our Cloud Data Ingestion & Transformation (CDIT) team. This team is crucial to our growth, managing systems that enable customers to integrate their data seamlessly with our platform. The CDIT team focuses on two main areas: Cloud Data Ingestion, which processes trillions of data points annually, and Data Transformation, a platform for customizing data flow from external sources into Braze. By enhancing these systems, the engineer will directly impact customer success and company growth.
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and improving modular components in our product using robust software engineering best practices. The role involves close collaboration with teams such as UI/UX, Product, Research, and Implementation to create scalable and dynamic product components. The engineer will apply extensive knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, and their ecosystems to build clean, reliable, and extensible user interfaces for the web. Additionally, the role includes influencing Braze's product strategy and roadmap, as well as supporting teams implementing Braze for customers to ensure their success.
The ideal candidate has over six years of full-stack development experience, with a strong focus on building scalable web applications. While the primary focus is on the back-end, the team owns features end-to-end and regularly delivers front-end experiences. The candidate should be an experienced technical leader with a track record of driving architectural decisions and contributing to technical strategy. A strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms is essential. The candidate should be a self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills, having worked in an agile team environment before. Willingness to learn the technologies required to deliver what customers need is also important.
