Senior Software Engineer I/II - Digital Engineering
Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I/II to join their Digital Engineering team in Littleton, Colorado. This role focuses on developing advanced simulation and modeling tools that support aerospace systems, including both flight and ground software capabilities. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that enhance aerospace technologies through scalable architectures, intuitive user interfaces, and robust software solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining simulation and modeling tools that support aerospace systems. This includes creating mission-level wargaming tools encompassing space, air, and ground domains, as well as products for analyzing laser communication constellation networks. The role involves developing application software based on web technologies that operate across multiple operating systems, including Windows and Linux. Additionally, the engineer will apply UI/UX best practices to create streamlined, intuitive user interfaces for simulation and configuration tools.
Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. For the Senior Software Engineer I level, a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, focusing on simulation, modeling, or aerospace systems, is required. For the Senior Software Engineer II level, at least 8 years of relevant experience is necessary. Proficiency in C#/.NET and Angular (or similar frontend frameworks like React or Vue), experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, and building RESTful APIs are essential. A solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns is also required. Due to program requirements, U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
The expected salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $160,000 annually, depending on individual qualifications and experience.
