Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I/II to join our Simulation Engineering team in Littleton, CO. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing simulation models and systems to address complex engineering challenges. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-fidelity simulations that drive innovation, enhance system performance, and support decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing simulation models for complex systems, analyzing and validating simulation results for accuracy, and collaborating with domain experts to define requirements and refine simulation parameters. The role also involves optimizing simulation performance for large-scale systems, developing tools to support simulation workflows, integrating models with existing software systems, and designing graphical user interfaces to enhance usability.

Candidates for the Senior Software Engineer I position should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of industry experience in simulation engineering or related fields. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB is required, as well as experience with simulation frameworks like Simulink or ANSYS. For the Senior Software Engineer II position, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to program requirements.

The base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional compensation may include company stock options, cash incentives, and participation in Rocket Lab's Employee Stock Purchase Program.
