This team is responsible for developing and maintaining systems that process substantial financial transactions during real estate closings, ensuring accuracy and security. The role offers flexibility with options for remote work or based in Austin, TX.

In this position, you will design, build, and maintain systems that handle ACH and wire transfers at scale, including origination, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling. You will integrate payment-processing pipelines with banking partners, payment rails, and third-party financial APIs, and implement controls for wire fraud prevention, transaction verification, and anomaly detection. Additionally, you will improve and extend core web applications supporting escrow accounting and closing-day money movement, and make architectural decisions for payments infrastructure, focusing on data integrity, idempotency, retry/failure handling, and audit logging. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience as a full-stack web developer, with a strong background in building or maintaining money-movement systems in regulated environments such as banking, fintech, or payment processing. A deep understanding of transactional integrity, idempotency, and failure-mode design in financial systems is crucial. Familiarity with payment rails, banking APIs, and financial compliance standards like NACHA, OFAC screening, PCI, and SOC 2 is highly desirable. Experience in making key architectural decisions for large, high-stakes projects and mentoring junior developers is also beneficial. A good product sense, strong attention to detail, and a passion for building trustworthy financial systems are essential.
