Senior Software Engineer I
Qualia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to join their dynamic engineering team in Austin, TX, or remotely. In this role, you will focus on building web technologies, both frontend and backend, to improve and extend core web applications, diverse software integrations, payment-processing systems, and other exciting new features. As a generalist engineer, your responsibilities will be flexible based on company needs as well as your skills and interests. You will work closely with design and customer-facing teams to imagine and build new experiences that customers love. The engineering team releases new software every week, moves at a fast pace, and works directly with other teams to deliver impactful solutions.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience as a full-stack web developer, with a strong product sense, attention to detail, and a passion for the impact of the software they build. Experience in making key architectural decisions for large projects and mentoring junior developers is highly valued. Proficiency in JavaScript/NodeJS, Semantic UI, MongoDB, microservice architecture/Kubernetes, and AWS is essential.
