Senior Software Engineer - MERN

As a Senior Software Engineer at Diligent Corporation, you will be instrumental in developing end-to-end scalable applications that enhance our SaaS platform. Utilizing the MERN stack—MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js—you will build intuitive frontends and high-performance microservices. This role is pivotal in advancing Diligent's mission to provide cutting-edge governance, risk, and compliance solutions to over a million users worldwide.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing and delivering full-stack features using ReactJS, Node.js, and TypeScript. You will develop secure, scalable backend services leveraging AWS serverless technologies and own features from frontend UI to backend APIs and deployment. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences and contribute to architectural decisions while mentoring team members on best practices.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience as a full-stack engineer in an agile environment, with strong expertise in ReactJS and modern frontend development. Solid experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend/API development is essential, along with experience building and deploying applications on AWS, preferably serverless. Practical exposure to AI tools in development workflows and a good understanding of databases and system design fundamentals are also required.
