Senior Software Engineer, Perception
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Perception to join their Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) division. This role focuses on developing advanced autonomous drones and solid rocket motors, contributing to products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius. The position is based at Anduril's headquarters in Costa Mesa, California, with relocation benefits provided.
The selected candidate will be responsible for proposing and prototyping innovative solutions to real-world problems by leveraging state-of-the-art techniques in computer vision and machine learning. Key duties include developing and maintaining core libraries and runtime applications, integrating classical and geometric methods in computer vision with machine learning approaches, and collaborating with the Machine Learning and Data Infrastructure teams to construct benchmarks for analyzing system performance.
Applicants must possess a Master's or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Robotics, or Computer Science with an emphasis on Computer Vision, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of four years of experience in developing and benchmarking machine learning algorithms on large-scale datasets is required. High proficiency in C++ development within a Linux environment, experience deploying models with TensorRT and ONNX, and familiarity with Python development and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow are essential. Candidates should also have experience in areas like Object Detection, Object Tracking, Visual Odometry, SLAM, and 3D Geometry. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is mandatory.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $220,000 to $292,000, with actual offers varying based on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills.
