Senior Software Engineer, QualityOS
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Internal Tools team, focusing on the development of QualityOS, our custom production quality management system. This role is pivotal in architecting and implementing mission-critical applications that streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency. As part of a dynamic team, you will contribute to scaling Anduril into a next-generation defense prime by delivering innovative software solutions.
In this position, you will work in a startup-like environment to create superior SaaS or on-premise solutions that surpass existing market offerings. Your responsibilities include contributing high-quality code, specializing in a specific area of the full stack (backend, frontend, or integration), collaborating with a high-performing team to complete essential projects, and automating company operations to achieve significant cost savings.
The ideal candidate possesses over five years of experience in software engineering, particularly in fast-paced settings, and holds a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Proficiency with web-based technologies such as JavaScript, React, TypeScript, or other frameworks like Remix or NextJS is essential. Additionally, the ability to empathize with end-users, translate needs into features, and balance user experience with engineering constraints is crucial. U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AWS, TypeScript, and React/Remix, experience in hyper-growth startup environments, eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/S clearance, and experience with quality management and incident management systems (QMS). Knowledge of leveraging state-of-the-art AI models and agentic tooling for software development is also advantageous.

Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans at little to no cost, generous PTO plans with a holiday hiatus in December, caregiver and wellness leave, coverage for fertility treatments, adoption, and gestational carriers, access to free mental health resources 24/7, annual reimbursement for professional development, company-funded commuter benefits, and relocation assistance depending on role eligibility. Retirement savings plans are also available, including traditional 401(k), Roth, and after-tax options.
