Senior Software Engineer, Reporting Engine
Ridgeline is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Reporting team, focusing on the development of large-scale reporting systems that drive critical analytics and decision-making processes. As a key member of this team, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver impactful customer-facing features within a company dedicated to modernizing investment management through innovative technology solutions.
In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for initiatives such as rearchitecting the Reporting Engine, enhancing performance scalability, and integrating AI into reporting processes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include driving architectural decisions to ensure system reliability and extensibility, establishing best practices in data modeling and query optimization, and mentoring staff- and senior-level engineers. Additionally, you will represent the Reporting team in cross-functional planning efforts and engineering leadership forums.
The ideal candidate will have over six years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership of large-scale systems. Proficiency in Python or Kotlin is required, with experience in both being advantageous. A strong understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, and performance optimization is essential. Experience with modern cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiarity with front-end technologies like React are beneficial. Excellent communication and mentoring skills, along with a collaborative mindset, are also key qualifications.
Ridgeline offers a competitive compensation package, with a typical starting salary range for this role between $146,000 and $172,000. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise.
