Senior Software Engineer, Robotics
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) team, focusing on the development of advanced autonomous systems. The TRS division is dedicated to building highly capable autonomous drones and solid rocket motors at scale, transforming products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius from early concepts into fully operational capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge defense technology within a dynamic and innovative environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining core robotics libraries, including frame transformations, targeting, and guidance systems utilized across all Anduril robotics platforms. You will lead the development and implementation of major features for products, such as designing and building Software-in-the-Loop simulators for advanced systems like Anvil. Additionally, you will optimize the performance of existing products, collaborate closely with hardware and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle, and troubleshoot complex issues in deployed systems to ensure optimal performance in the field.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 5+ years of professional software development experience. Strong proficiency in C++ or Rust within Linux development environments is required, as well as demonstrated expertise in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization. Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems, hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are also essential. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is mandatory.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $191,000 to $253,000 USD, along with highly competitive equity grants.
