Senior Software Engineer, Storage Engineer
CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Storage Engine Organization, responsible for developing and managing our high-performance, scalable storage solutions tailored for AI workloads. As a key member of this team, you will collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure our storage services meet the demands of the most intensive AI applications.
In this role, you will design and implement distributed storage solutions to support data-intensive AI workloads. Your responsibilities will include developing exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage systems and integrating dedicated storage clusters into diverse customer environments. You will work with technologies such as RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and distributed filesystem protocols like NFS or FUSE to optimize storage performance and efficiency. Additionally, you will participate in efforts to enhance the reliability, durability, and observability of our storage stack.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 4–8 years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure. Strong hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in production environments is essential. Proficiency in a systems programming language such as Go, C, or Rust is required, as well as familiarity with storage observability tools and telemetry pipelines like ClickHouse, Prometheus, and Grafana. Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable system architecture is also necessary.
The base salary range for this position is $139,000 to $204,000, determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
