This team is responsible for developing software for autonomous robotic systems, including the Fury unmanned fighter jet and the Barracuda family of advanced effects. The role focuses on verification and validation (V&V) activities to ensure the reliability and performance of these cutting-edge defense technologies.

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the definition, design, and execution of product verification and validation throughout the product development lifecycle. Responsibilities include implementing and automating software verification tests, analyzing and simulating requirements, reviewing use cases and specifications for verifiability, executing complex testing with in-depth statistical analysis, and summarizing results in comprehensive reports. The role also involves conducting V&V design reviews, maintaining knowledge of regulatory requirements, and providing technical leadership to the growing team.

Required skills include experience with requirements-based verification, a strong emphasis on automated tests, extensive knowledge of software development processes and verification tools such as C/C++ and Python, and a track record of architecting software test plans in the aerospace and defense sector. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance is mandatory.

Preferred qualifications include experience with automated hardware-in-the-loop testing infrastructure, functional knowledge of software development, verification, and validation requirements for DO-178 and MIL-HDBK-516C, and experience developing testable requirements and understanding verification objectives for these standards.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $191,000 to $253,000 USD annually, with actual offers varying based on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills. Anduril provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision plans at little to no cost, life and disability insurance, generous PTO plans with a holiday hiatus in December, paid caregiver and wellness leave, family planning and parenting support, mental health resources, professional development stipends, commuter benefits, relocation assistance, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with both traditional and Roth options.
