The Senior Software Engineer, Workforce Systems Integration at Lucid Motors is a hands-on engineering role focused on building, integrating, and extending workforce-related SaaS applications. This position requires deep coding expertise across multiple technology stacks to enable reliable integrations and develop custom applications where existing SaaS capabilities need enhancement. The role is based in Southfield, MI, and involves close collaboration with HRIS Product Management, IT platform teams, and Security to ensure that workforce systems—including HR, recruiting, contingent labor, and workforce management—are connected, scalable, and suitable for enterprise use.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining custom integrations across workforce and HR SaaS platforms, building API-based, event-driven, and batch integrations optimized for reliability and performance. The engineer will also design and develop lightweight applications and services to augment SaaS tools, focusing on data transformation, business rules, workflow orchestration, exception handling, and operational tooling. Additionally, the role involves writing clean, secure, and maintainable code, participating in design and code reviews, and implementing logging, monitoring, error handling, and automated testing to support resilient operations.
Candidates should have at least 7 years of software engineering and/or systems integration experience, with strong coding skills in modern languages and the ability to work across multiple technology stacks. Demonstrated experience with SaaS integration (API/event/batch patterns) and a strong understanding of security and privacy are essential. Experience integrating HR/workforce SaaS platforms, familiarity with iPaaS tools, cloud platforms, and custom service development, as well as full-stack experience building rich UI interfaces and performant APIs with a focus on observability and reliability, are advantageous.
Lucid Motors offers a competitive salary range for this position, with estimates between $140,000 and $178,000 annually. Additional compensation and benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and a 401(k) plan. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
