Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Zip Co Limited, you will be an integral part of the Payments squad, focusing on developing and maintaining the core payments engine. This role involves building ultra-reliable, high-throughput systems that process every customer transaction with zero downtime. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering the Engineering and Product roadmap as a key member of a high-performing squad. You will collaborate with Engineering and Product Managers to discover and validate technical problems, promote a high-performance culture by following engineering best practices, and ensure system reliability through monitoring and a security-first mindset.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot, and solid experience with relational databases like SQL Server or Postgres. Proven experience with Agile Development, Design Patterns, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines is essential. Experience working with and deploying services to AWS, as well as exposure to microservice and event-based architectures (Kafka), is also required.
