Senior Software Manufacturing Engineer
May Mobility is seeking a Senior Software Manufacturing Engineer to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality in the development of autonomous vehicles. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external engineering partners to bridge software development and hardware production, focusing on automating testing, programming, and configuration processes.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining software for flashing, testing, and calibrating hardware products during production. The engineer will troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues on the manufacturing line, create scripts and tools to automate testing and data collection for quality control, and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to assembly processes. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with hardware teams to validate software functionality during new product introduction and preparing configuration processes and documentation to assist the supply chain with sourcing.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or software engineering capacity. A strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, proficiency in writing embedded code in C/C++, and experience with 3D CAD software are essential. Excellent communication skills, the ability to mentor junior engineers, and a deep understanding of autonomous vehicle hardware and sensor technology are also required.
