Senior Spacecraft GNC Engineer I/II
The Senior Spacecraft Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer I/II at Rocket Lab's Littleton, CO site leads the development of GNC and Attitude Determination and Control Systems (ADCS) for a diverse fleet of spacecraft. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure mission success and advancing Rocket Lab's position in the space industry.
Key responsibilities include mentoring a team in GNC design, modeling, and analysis for various space missions, designing flight software and algorithms, developing spacecraft autonomy tools, selecting GNC components, defining fault detection and response strategies, and supporting design reviews. Candidates for the Senior Spacecraft GNC Engineer I position should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in GNC/ADCS, while the Engineer II position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience. Prior experience interfacing with aerospace customers in commercial or government sectors is essential. U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
