Senior Staff Engineer, DTCO

The Senior Staff Engineer, DTCO at Samsung Semiconductor will be a key member of the Logic Pathfinding Lab in San Jose, California. This role involves researching and evaluating advanced technology options to meet the demands of sub-2nm technology nodes, contributing to the company's leadership in semiconductor innovation.

Key responsibilities include creating and optimizing standard cell architectures and libraries to assess performance, power, area, and cost (PPAC). The engineer will analyze technology design rules, develop early DTCO methodologies, and collaborate with external vendors to advance DTCO development.

Candidates should possess a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related fields, along with over 10 years of industry experience. Essential skills include standard cell layout design, RTL synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and DTCO modeling. Experience with SRAM bit-cell design and an understanding of power delivery network schemes are advantageous.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $189,000 to $301,000 annually, with additional incentive opportunities based on individual and company performance.
