Senior Staff Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Braze is seeking a Senior Staff Platform Infrastructure Engineer to lead our Infrastructure division, which manages systems processing over a trillion jobs daily. This role involves designing and operating large-scale architectures and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance infrastructure reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities include leading the Infrastructure division, designing and operating architectures that support massive scale, defining critical visions for our systems, partnering with engineering teams to leverage our infrastructure, ensuring the quality of architecture decisions, and delivering solutions that satisfy compliance requirements.

Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in high-scale distributed systems development or platform/infrastructure roles. They should possess a strong understanding of system interfaces, boundaries, edge cases, failure modes, and behaviors. Experience leading infrastructure or infrastructure-adjacent teams in high-scale systems is essential.

The compensation for this position ranges from $208,000 to $349,655 annually, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $232,000 and $390,000 per year, including bonuses or commissions.
