Senior SW Engineer ACE (PCB Design),
Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead AI-driven design applications within the Agentic Computational Engineering (ACE) team. This role focuses on developing and evaluating designs for systems such as Hall effect thrusters, solid rocket motors, nozzles, structural hardware, and radiation-hardened electronics. The ACE team is dedicated to compressing hardware development cycles from years to days by integrating AI with physics simulation, test data, and modern manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate will own the roadmap for AI applications that generate 3D geometry and end-to-end PCB designs based on performance requirements and constraints. Responsibilities include leading the development of automated loops between MCAD and ECAD agents and simulation agents, embedding manufacturability constraints into design checks and AI behavior, and developing topology and shape optimization workflows that produce production-ready geometry. Collaboration with propulsion, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to validate AI-generated designs is also a key aspect of the role.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree with 5 years of experience, or a PhD with 3 years of experience, in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Computational Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Experience in designing and analyzing hardware for demanding environments, strong programming skills in Python or C++, and familiarity with automating CAD and CAE tools are essential. Hands-on experience with numerical simulation methods such as CFD, FEA, or SPICE, along with a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior engineers, is required.
