Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Director for Advanced Mission Critical Electronics to lead the development of next-generation computing, sensing, and communications architectures. This role is pivotal in transitioning from traditional space electronics to modern, commercially derived components, focusing on spaceborne applications across all orbits, including LEO, MEO, GEO, and cislunar. The position is part of the Advanced Technology Development team within the Strategic Growth and Technology Organization, dedicated to high-impact technology and product research and development.

The Senior Technical Director will define the technical roadmap for mission-critical electronics, encompassing high-performance edge computing, software-defined radios, and advanced sensor suites. Responsibilities include leading the shift from traditional radiation-hardened components to resilient architectures utilizing modern automotive and industrial-grade silicon, ensuring modularity and scalability of electronic subsystems across various platforms, and bridging hardware and software teams to co-design for reliability. The role also involves overseeing the full lifecycle of electronics development, from schematic capture and PCB layout reviews to thermal analysis, radiation testing, and final flight qualification.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics and be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance, requiring US citizenship. A minimum of 10 years of experience leading the development of complex electronics hardware is required, including expertise in high-speed digital design, FPGA/SoC integration, and power systems. Experience in designing radiation-hardened and radiation-tolerant systems for space environments is essential, along with deep expertise in architecting high-reliability systems using commercial silicon.

Voyager Technologies offers a dynamic work environment where innovation thrives, and employees are united by purpose and grounded in reality. The company is committed to advancing and delivering transformative, mission-critical solutions, providing opportunities for professional growth and the chance to contribute to technologies that protect lives and expand frontiers.
