The Senior Technical Product Manager (Data Platform) at Zip Co Limited is responsible for developing and executing the strategy and roadmap for Zip's foundational data platform. This role focuses on building and scaling reliable, compliant, and AI-ready data infrastructure that supports analytics, risk modeling, fraud detection, regulatory reporting, and production AI capabilities across the company. The position offers a remote-first opportunity for U.S.-based employees, with the option to work in-person at the Manhattan office.

Key responsibilities include defining and implementing the multi-year vision for Zip's enterprise data platform, overseeing foundational capabilities such as data ingestion, storage, transformation (ETL/ELT), orchestration, metadata management, and access control. The role requires balancing speed, reliability, scalability, compliance, and cost in roadmap decisions. Additionally, the manager will establish and enforce enterprise data governance frameworks, implement SOX-compliant controls, define data contracts between producers and consumers, and ensure data lineage tracking, auditability, and regulatory reporting integrity.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of experience in product management or equivalent roles, focusing on data platforms, data engineering, or analytics infrastructure. A strong understanding of modern data architectures, including lakehouse, warehouse, ELT/ETL, and streaming/event-driven systems, is essential. Experience operating in regulated environments, with a preference for SOX compliance, and familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka/Kinesis, or similar ecosystems are also required. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into measurable business impact and drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, compliance, and business teams.

The annual base pay range for this position is $155,000–$165,000, with the actual salary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
