Senior Technical Project Manager, ASIC
As a Senior Technical Project Manager (ASIC) at Samsung Semiconductor, you will lead complex silicon development projects from specification definition through tape-out, fabrication, and post-silicon validation. This role requires a strong technical background in semiconductors combined with exceptional program management skills to navigate risks and drive execution excellence. You will be the primary interface between Samsung's ASIC design teams and customers, ensuring timely delivery of all project collateral.
Key responsibilities include end-to-end program ownership, collaborating with customers from initial concept and specification stages to silicon tape-out, bring-up, and production. You will develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and resource allocations, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks and critical path issues. Additionally, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams—including Architecture, RTL, Verification, Physical Design, DFT, Firmware, Emulation, and Packaging—to ensure aligned deliverables and manage risks to avoid tape-out delays.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 15+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 13+ years. A minimum of 10 years in the semiconductor industry, including at least 5 years in technical program or project management for ASIC/SoC products, is required. Deep understanding of the full ASIC design flow, experience with advanced process nodes and high-speed design, proficiency in project management tools, and familiarity with EDA tools are essential. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are also critical.
Compensation for this role ranges from $189,000 to $301,000 annually, depending on work location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Samsung Semiconductor offers a diverse package of benefits centered around the well-being of employees and their loved ones, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), charitable giving match, paid time off, and support for family care.
Samsung Semiconductor fosters an inclusive culture and diverse workforce, empowering employees to be their true selves. The company is dedicated to innovation and growth, providing opportunities to work on cutting-edge technology solutions that power everyday tools, including smartphones, electric vehicles, hyperscale data centers, and IoT devices.
