Senior Threat and Attack Research Engineer
The Senior Threat and Attack Research Engineer role at Anduril Industries involves joining the Security organization to develop and implement advanced threat actor tracking and analysis systems aimed at protecting Anduril's products and infrastructure. Key responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing sophisticated cyber threats targeting Anduril's products, infrastructure, and personnel; researching, mitigating, and anticipating emerging technical trends in the threat landscape; collaborating closely with the detection and response team to provide timely and actionable intelligence to support ongoing investigations; engaging cross-functionally with the offensive security team on product and infrastructure red team engagements; enhancing tooling for threat actor tracking and intelligence data integration; and fostering proactive collaboration and information exchange with external partners to build joint capabilities and achieve shared objectives.
Required qualifications encompass proven experience analyzing complex threat actor campaigns, including supply chain and infrastructure, with the ability to develop long-term countermeasures; proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Rust, Golang, or Swift; capacity to prioritize and execute tasks independently with minimal supervision; strong and professional communication skills, both written and verbal; and the ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include in-depth knowledge of nation-state, sophisticated criminal, or supply chain threats; experience creating file-based or network-based rules and signatures (e.g., YARA, Snort) for detection and tracking complex threats; a track record of writing production code for threat intelligence tools; expertise in large-scale data analysis; established connections within the broader security and threat intelligence community; strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments; and experience with Vertex Synapse.
The position offers a salary range of $166,000 to $220,000 USD, with actual offers varying based on factors such as work experience, education, critical skills, and business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
