Senior Value Engineer (Public Sector) - Sacramento, CA
As a Senior Value Engineer specializing in the Public Sector, you will collaborate with state and local government agencies to address critical operational challenges. Leveraging Celonis' Process Intelligence platform, you will develop innovative solutions that enhance citizen services, modernize legacy systems, and optimize grant management and regulatory compliance. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading AI and ML technology partners to drive meaningful public impact.
Your primary responsibilities will include understanding public sector AI strategies and specific agency challenges, translating these requirements into impactful solutions, and leading technical discovery and capability demonstrations during government procurement cycles. You will also be involved in prototyping solutions during agency hackathons and ensuring successful implementation and adoption post-sale to maximize taxpayer value.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in technical pre-sales and post-sales engagements within the public sector, with a deep understanding of state and local government processes. Proficiency in generative AI techniques, solid knowledge of Python and common ML libraries, and strong presentation skills are essential. A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a preference for a Master's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields.
The base salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $170,000 USD annually, with additional components including bonus/commission, equity, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
