Senior Vehicle Integration and Test Technician

The Senior Vehicle Integration and Test Technician plays a pivotal role in the development of Rocket Lab's Neutron launch vehicle. This position involves close collaboration with system engineers and a dedicated team of technicians to build, integrate, and test the mechanical, fluid, and avionics systems of the Neutron rocket. The role demands a versatile problem solver with a comprehensive understanding of launch vehicle systems and meticulous attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include creating and implementing assembly and test procedures for the Neutron vehicle, working alongside system owners to develop and document these processes. The technician will lead and mentor a team in the application of industry standards and best practices for installing and testing aerospace flight components. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting unforeseen issues, enhancing workflow efficiency, and supporting various operations to expedite the Neutron's processing.

Candidates must possess at least eight years of experience in assembly and/or testing within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, along with a high school diploma or GED. Preferred qualifications include experience with launch vehicle fluid systems such as pneumatic, cryogenic, and electrical systems; maintenance skills like troubleshooting and precision cleaning; proficiency with equipment like forklifts and power tools; familiarity with cleanroom protocols and ISO cleanliness standards; and fabrication skills including tube bending and mechanical assembly.
