The Senior Workplace Operations Coordinator at Checkr plays a pivotal role in enhancing the company's culture and workplace experience. Reporting to the Director of Workplace Operations, this position is central to the daily operations of the San Francisco office, ensuring a seamless and welcoming environment for both employees and guests. Checkr, established in 2014, is dedicated to building a data platform that powers safe and fair decisions, serving over 100,000 customers including DoorDash, Coinbase, Lyft, Instacart, and Airtable.

Key responsibilities include managing daily facilities operations such as reception, mail management, janitorial services, food and beverage services, badge and security management, and promptly addressing maintenance issues. The role involves establishing strong partnerships with HR business partners, new-hire orientation teams, internal Checkr Resource Groups, and local management to implement strategies that enhance employee satisfaction and productivity. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for evolving the hybrid work strategy, designing impactful employee experiences from onboarding to off-boarding, coordinating intra-office events, overseeing daily lunch services, and leading various projects to ensure smooth and transparent experiences for all employees.

Candidates should possess a minimum of four years of operational facilities management experience, with a significant emphasis on improving employee experiences. A proven track record in executing successful events is essential. Proficiency in Zoom Rooms, A/V technologies, GSuite, and Slack is required to support effective communication and collaboration. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with all levels, from vendors to executives. Experience in a fast-paced office environment and the capability to work efficiently in the San Francisco office daily are also required. Willingness to work overtime periodically, including early mornings, late weekdays, and very rarely weekends for office moves or large capital project executions, is expected. An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action, urgency, resilience through ambiguity, and ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes is highly valued.

The position offers a fast-paced and collaborative environment, learning and development allowance, competitive cash and equity compensation with opportunities for advancement, 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage, up to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning services, a flexible PTO policy, and a monthly wellness stipend.

Checkr fosters a culture of transparency, innovation, and inclusivity. The company believes in hiring talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those whose histories are impacted by the justice system, in accordance with local, state, and federal laws. Employees are expected to work from the office three days a week, with in-office perks such as daily lunch, a commuter stipend, and an abundance of snacks and beverages. This role provides an opportunity to significantly impact the workplace experience and contribute to a mission-driven company dedicated to building trusted workplaces and communities.
