Sensor Sim - ML Engineer
Applied Intuition is seeking a Sensor Sim - ML Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. In this role, you will collaborate with our research team to integrate advanced machine learning techniques into our production-grade sensor simulation, focusing on modeling environments and sensors such as Lidars, Radars, and Cameras.
As a Sensor Sim - ML Engineer, you will drive the research, development, and deployment of generative and other machine learning methods into our sensor simulator. You will work closely with rendering and physics-based modeling teams to develop innovative approaches that combine the strengths of various techniques. Your projects will be geared towards delivering clear production value and significant customer impact.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with over five years of experience in developing software components or systems that address real-world machine learning challenges. A strong passion for transforming domain expertise into tools that enhance the productivity of teams working on diverse autonomous systems applications is essential. Hands-on experience with evaluating and optimizing large generative models, agentic system design, and a deep understanding of machine learning foundations are required. Additionally, familiarity with 3D geometry, optical flow, or video generation is expected.
Compensation for this full-time position includes a base salary ranging from $125,000 to $222,000 annually, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
