SEO Country Lead - Türkiye
As the SEO Country Lead for Türkiye at Canva, you will be responsible for developing and executing a market-specific SEO strategy tailored to the Turkish audience. This role involves managing the full SEO funnel, including content creation, technical optimization, and authority-building initiatives, with the objective of achieving 8–10% market penetration within the next 2–3 years. You will collaborate closely with the local Country Manager and contribute to Canva's global SEO efforts through the Logged Out Experience (LOX) Group.
Key responsibilities include leading the end-to-end SEO strategy across technical, content, and authority pillars, translating market insights into a high-impact roadmap aligned with Canva’s goals, and monitoring performance to adapt to user shifts and focus on high-ROI initiatives. Additionally, you will hire and lead a local SEO team, set clear goals and growth plans, and foster a culture of ownership and collaboration. Understanding Türkiye's platforms, user behavior, competitors, and trends is essential, as is partnering with localization and design teams to create culturally relevant content.
The ideal candidate is a native Turkish speaker with business-level English proficiency and a deep understanding of local search habits and cultural context. Proven experience leading large SEO projects (500+ pages) with strong skills across content, technical, and link-building SEO is required. Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Deepcrawl, and Looker is essential. The role also demands strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to build trust and influence without formal authority.
