Social Media Community Manager
The Social Media Community Manager at Voyager Technologies, Inc. is responsible for managing the company's digital and social media presence across corporate platforms. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role is based in El Segundo, CA, or Washington, D.C., and involves executing the social media calendar, monitoring platform conversations, and ensuring timely, accurate, and brand-aligned interactions with various audiences, including policymakers, industry leaders, customers, employees, and the broader space community.
Key responsibilities include managing daily publishing across Voyager's social media platforms such as LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging channels, ensuring content is scheduled and deployed accurately and on time. The role also involves monitoring and engaging with social media audiences by responding to comments, questions, and relevant conversations professionally and in alignment with the brand, while escalating sensitive issues when necessary. Additionally, the manager will identify relevant industry conversations, trends, and opportunities where Voyager can participate and add value to the broader aerospace, defense, and commercial space dialogue.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. They should possess 3–5 years of professional experience managing social media platforms for a brand, media organization, or technology company, utilizing social media management tools and analytics platforms. A strong understanding of major social platforms, including LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and Facebook, along with best practices for engagement and content distribution, is essential. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce concise, engaging social media copy aligned with AP style in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, are also required.
