Software Engineer, Backend Engineer - Third Party Model

As a Backend Engineer at fal, you will be at the forefront of the generative AI media revolution, contributing to the development of high-performance, reliable proxies for our partner model providers. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to building the infrastructure and tools necessary for AI-driven media applications.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing foundational HTTP proxies and serverless endpoints for third-party model providers. You will write clear, well-tested, and maintainable software, and work to enhance the robustness and scalability of existing proxies, APIs, and fallback infrastructure. Additionally, you will conduct design and code reviews, create developer documentation, and develop testing strategies to ensure system reliability and fault tolerance.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience building HTTP services with Python. A strong background in designing, analyzing, and improving the efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources is essential. Proficiency in version control practices and CI/CD pipelines is also required.
