Software Engineer II
As a Software Engineer II at Checkr, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our data platform, which empowers organizations to make informed and fair decisions. Checkr serves over 100,000 customers, including prominent companies like Amazon, DoorDash, and Netflix, by providing innovative technology solutions that ensure safety and compliance in building trusted workplaces and communities.
In this role, you will take ownership of product development features from design through implementation to release. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to architect and implement new features, developing end-to-end web applications, and ensuring the delivery of performant, reliable, scalable, and secure code capable of supporting hundreds of thousands of transactions daily. Additionally, you will monitor, investigate, triage, and resolve production issues as they arise for services owned by the team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of full-stack software development experience, with proficiency in Ruby and JavaScript/React or similar languages and frameworks. Experience with test frameworks and automation tools like Cypress is essential. A strong sense of ownership, a customer-centric mindset, and a passion for continuous learning and collaboration are key attributes for success in this role.
Checkr offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $150,000 to $176,000 for positions in San Francisco, CA.
